My journey in design: more than a career, a story of visual identity building

I'm Anderson Rodrigues, a designer with over 15 years of experience in branding, art direction, and strategic design. My journey began in a print shop in São Paulo, where I learned that great design starts before the screen.
As an intern and junior designer at Target and Tipolac, I dove into the technical world of graphic production — working with decals, packaging, and signage. That hands-on phase gave me a solid foundation that still guides my work.
Seeking a broader perspective, I joined the marketing team at IT’SSEG Company. There, I created seasonal campaigns, print materials, and digital assets, collaborating with multiple departments and understanding how design helps shape a brand from the inside out.
That experience prepared me for greater challenges. As an Art Director at agencies like Duoeme and Integer/Outpromo, I led campaigns for major brands such as Heineken, P&G, and Diageo. I deepened my strategic and creative thinking, with a strong focus on performance, consumer behavior, and leadership.
Later, I moved closer to branding at Voadora Design, developing full visual identities — from research and concept to brand guidelines. Every client presentation was an opportunity to defend a meaningful, well-crafted idea.
With that experience, I took a bold step and moved to Ireland to improve my English and gain international experience. At NED College, as a Senior Designer, I combined branding and performance to enhance student recruitment campaigns while adapting to a new cultural and creative environment.
After that, I relocated to Spain with the goal of learning Spanish and continuing to grow professionally. At NL College, I stepped into my first leadership role in branding and marketing. I led the brand repositioning, aligned marketing with sales, and drove integrated strategies in a multicultural context.
Alongside these roles, I’ve also worked as a freelance designer on Upwork — partnering with clients from Germany, Iceland, Australia, Canada, Italy, and the U.S. Each project was a cultural exchange and an opportunity to apply design thinking across different markets.
Today, I work as a Senior Designer, combining branding, UI/UX, and art direction to deliver visual solutions with identity, consistency, and real impact.
